Sri RanganaaTha Temple remains CLOSED from 4.38 PM on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 to 10 AM on Thursday, June 10, 2021, due to Partial Solar Eclipse on Thursday, June 10, 2021, from 4.38 AM to 6.31 AM.
On Thursday, June 10, 2021, Devotees are advised to have a shower at the start of the Eclipse at 4.38 AM and do Japam as advised by their respective Aachaarya-s and / or Sthothra PaaraayaNam etc.., during the Eclipse and have a shower again at the end of the Eclipse at 6.31 AM.
Popular belief is for the pregnant ladies to stay indoors during the Eclipse.
Serious devotees abstain from food from 4.38 PM on Wednesday, June 9th, 2021(12 hours before the start of the Eclipse) till the End of the Eclipse.
Those who are supposed to do PithRu-TharpaNam, need to have a shower at the peak of the Eclipse at 5.33 AM and do tharpanam, very similar to what they do on AmaavaaSya, but with a slightly different Sankalpam, replacing the DharSa-SraaDhdha Tharpanam with Suuryoparaaga PunNa-Kaala SraaDhdham or Call Temple for Priest Services.

Instructions for carrying Pallakis and Vahanas, Male devotees carrying Pallakis and Vahanas are requested to wear Dhotis. Devotees Sponsoring Poojas for Brahmotsavam are kindly requested to be in traditional attire and wear sarees / dhotis. Thank you for your support in adhering to temple guidelines.
