The Mahaa Samprokshanam for Sri Ranganatha Temple, Pomona, New York was celebrated on May 27, 2001 in a grand manner. Since then, thousands of devotees have visited the Temple to worship at the Eight Sannidhis, and supported Sri Ranganatha Temple in numerous ways and the number of devotees continues to grow. Thanks to their collective efforts, the daily worship, celebration of AzhwAr-AchAryAs’ birthdays, BrahmOthsavam, PavithrOthsavam and Anna dhAnams are progressing well. The SRT Board of Trustees, Executive Committee and Fund Raising Committee are now rolling out a $2 Million SRT Capital Improvements and Expansion Project to serve the ever growing devotees of the Temple.
The Project includes (in order of priority):
- Upgrading and weather-proofing of the Temple roof ($400,000)
- Acquisition and Maintenance of Priest Quarters ($400,000)
- Modernization of Public areas ($200,000)
- Creation of a second Prakaram ($500,000)
- Construction of a Raaja Gopuram ($500,000)
This will allow us to keep this Temple in the forefront among the places of worship for all of you, your family and friends.
